High-performance battery system

  1. High power density: Able to quickly release high-power current to cope with instantaneous load shocks (such as large server clusters, motor startup, etc.).

  2. High energy density: Provides sufficient energy in a limited space to ensure sufficient backup time.

  3. Fast response capability: The switching time from grid power failure to battery power supply must be extremely short, within 20 milliseconds, or even less than 10 milliseconds, to ensure that sensitive equipment does not lose power.

  4. Long cycle life and stability: As a backup power source, it must be available when needed and have slow performance degradation. Lithium iron phosphate batteries are currently the mainstream choice.

Advanced power conversion systems

UPS Tracking
  1. Bidirectional flow conversion capability: PCS is the core. It must be able to achieve seamless mode switching within milliseconds.

  2. On-grid mode: Draw power from the grid to power the load and charge the battery.

  3. Off-grid mode: When a grid fault is detected, the system immediately disconnects from the grid and switches to battery-powered inverter output for pure, stable AC power to supply the load.

  4. Output voltage/frequency stability: When operating independently off -grid, it must be able to establish stable voltage and frequency on its own, just like a generator, unaffected by load changes.

  5. Islanding detection and anti-islanding protection: Grid outages must be detected quickly and accurately, and off-grid operations must be performed immediately to prevent backflow of power to the faulty grid and ensure the safety of maintenance personnel.

Intelligent energy management system

UPS Shipping

  1. Real-time monitoring and control: Continuously monitor key parameters such as grid status, battery SOC, load power, and system health.

  2. Control Strategy and Logic: Preset and execute seamless switching logic. When the EMS detects a grid voltage drop, frequency limit violation, or complete power outage, it immediately sends a command to the PCS to switch to off-grid operation.

  3. Prediction and early warning: Ability to predict backup time based on battery health and load conditions, and issue alarms when battery power is too low or system abnormalities occur.

Reliable system integration and switchgear

  1. Static transfer switch: For dual-power loads with higher requirements, STS needs to be configured, which can switch between two power sources (such as mains power and energy storage system) in milliseconds, achieving true "zero-second" interruption.

  2. On-grid point switch: A reliable circuit breaker used to physically disconnect the unit from the main grid when off-grid.

  3. Complete protection function: The overcurrent, overvoltage, short circuit, insulation and other protection configurations of the entire system must be reasonable to ensure that they can be selectively cut off in the event of a fault without affecting critical loads.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Switching time: This is the core indicator for determining whether a device can function as a UPS. It must be much shorter than the maximum power outage time tolerated by the load equipment (usually 20 milliseconds for IT equipment).

  • Output power quality: When operating off-grid, the output voltage harmonics, frequency deviation, voltage fluctuation, etc. must meet the requirements of the load equipment.

  • Backup time: Calculated based on battery capacity and load power, it must meet the time required from grid failure to the start-up of the backup generator and stable power supply, or the time required for the entire critical business process to be completed.
